Picture probs with my Hitachi Ultravision projection 51UWX20B television?

Saturday, November 7th, 2009

My screen is displaying pink & green swirls on the top of the screen as well around objects.
Of course I tried turning it off & on as well as messing with the color and picture settings. I have zero idea what this is or what I can do about it. Help!!

Those swirls are caused by NOISY convergence amps…

They need to be replaced, and in most cases, you are looking at $380 to replace them.

But the GOOD news is….that’s the ONLY problem that you’ll have with that Hitachi Projection TV set…..

They are that reliable….

Watching TV With an HDTV Tuner Card

Friday, October 23rd, 2009

A HDTV tuner card is what allows you to watch TV by receiving HD signals and processing them into your High Definition picture without having to connect to the internet. Today just about everyone is using a computer of some sort. You see people using their laptops in coffee houses, airplanes as well as at home and the office.

My projection television shows images from a DVD player in color, but B&W from the cable box…?

Thursday, October 22nd, 2009

We were given this television and know very little about it. It’s a Samsung Projection Television HC-P4752W.

Instead of having a dozen people trying to figure out what’s wrong, why don’t you describe the details of how you hooked things up. Then there’s a chance one of us might be able to help you.

Do you like your big screen rear-projection television set? Any problems with it? Recommendations?

Thursday, October 8th, 2009

We are going to buy a new tv, and my wife wants a rear-projection big screen..but I have heard you have to replace the lamps a lot, and the lamps are expensive…what has been your experience been with these tvs? Also, I heard you can’t see the picture from certain angles in the room..is this true?

My parents have a Samsung HD LCD rear projection one and they havent had any probs with it (knock on wood)
You can see the picture from most angles but you dont see the pic clearly if you stand beside the tv (you see the picture darker than usual) but its a good tv.
They say that TV’s (Plasma) are the ones that have the gas bulb give probs and need replacing but havent heard much about the rear projection but I would recommend you buy an LCD one instead of the normal ones

What is better a LCD or Projection television?

going to buy a t.v probably 42" and something thats clear and crisp and under 1500. Any Suggestions/

with $1200 now a days you can buy a flat panel HDTV you don’t need a projection, they huge and heavy and they don’t have good picture quality either. Flat panels are a beauty and light. A Panasonic or a Sony will do it. They are the best.

Good luck tv shopping

Mounting a Vizio HDTV 32 in the Bedroom

Wednesday, September 23rd, 2009

If you are the proud owner of a new Vizio HDTV 32 inch model then there are some additional innovative mounting options that can be considered due to the fact that you have purchased a relatively standard sized flat panel display that is proudly one of the thinnest in the category of consumer televisions. In fact the go to armoire that interior decorators have used in the past to hide televisions no longer makes sense.

Mounting a Vizio HDTV 32 in the Kitchen

Wednesday, September 23rd, 2009

If you happened on the Vizio 32 when shopping and made it your TV of choice, you are in luck. There are other options for you. The flatness and lighter weight of your flat panel screen allows you a freedom of choice not offered from the older televisions. Your design is so sleek, it hardly makes sense to hide it, but to keep your eye from being drawn immediately to the television here are a couple of ideas.

I have an old projection television from around 1982. The red bulb has burnt out on it. How can I get another?

I’ve contacted the address given in the owner’s manual but it is no longer available. I’ve also checked the internet thoroughly…
Thank you!!!!

It’s a Mitsubishi, one of the very large cabinet projection televisions they used to make. I would hate to have to throw it out.

Thank you!!!!

Have you tried contacting Mitsubishi? The address is old but the company’s still around.
