When the tv is turned on the sound works fine. The picture might come on for a while but then it goes off. It might not come on and then it will come on and stay for a while then go off. I am very handy and am hoping to do this repair myself. Hopefully its a part I can buy and replace myself. Please Help! Thank You!!!

LOOK at 2 circuits….

The VERTICAL output can become cracked and require resoldering…

Or

The Convergence amps are going BAD, and require replacement to keep the protection circuits from activating.

Of course it could be a regulator too…(RARE!)

So…Fix those two and you should be back in business.
