Why is my projection television changing to black and white? And why is it flickering sometimes?

I have a 52" RCA projection television. After anywhere from 15 minutes to 2 hours it goes black and white. Whats the deal here? Also, it seems to flicker with any movement. Do i need a new bulb? new tube? is it worth fixing? Please help, answer on here, and please e-mail me at someGUYwithADHD@gmail.com

USING COMPONENT INPUTS??

If so, your red and blue Video connections are BARELY connected on the TV or the Cable box…
